David Phillip Rubenstein, 49, retired from the Fort Worth Police Department, died of a phenumonia, Oct. 26, 2000, in Bangkok, Thailand.

Memorial service: was held Nov. 3, 2000 at Saint Peter's Episcopal Church in Brenham.

David Rubenstein was born Dec. 28, 1950. He was the son of Mathews and Adella Rubenstein. He was a graduate of Sam Houston State University and a member of the sons of the Republic of Texas.

Survivors: His parents; sister, Cheryl Rubenstein Jenkines of Lake Charles, La; nephew, William McK. Jenkines IV of California; niece, Kelli Dee Ann Jenkines of Dallas
