
George Samuel Whites, 66, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017, in Fort Worth.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 10 a.m. Monday at Christ Church, 5301 Alta Mesa Blvd., Fort Worth 76123.
Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth.
Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook.
George was born Dec. 15, 1950, in Fort Worth. He was a devoted husband of 47 years to his childhood sweetheart, loving father to four children, and " Grandaddy" to his eight grandchildren. He always went above and beyond for his family. George loved the Lord and served as a deacon and usher for years. George was a graduate of Paschal High School. For 30-plus years, he worked as a route salesman in Fort Worth and Granbury and was well-loved by his customers. He had a unique affinity for collecting DVDs. He loved the mountains, smoking ribs, shrimp boils, and taking naps. George is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Erna Whites, and sister, Margaret Springer. SURVIVORS: He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Whites; children, Christine Powell , Stacy Edwards (Scott), Brian Whites, and Melissa Evans (Aric); grandchildren, Tyler (Kate), Austin, and Cody Powell, Adrienne, Lindsay, and Bailey Edwards, Kelli, and Caleb Evans; brother, Roy Whites Jr.; son-in-law, Jim Powell; and numerous relatives and friends.
