I was so sorry to hear about Jimbo's passing. We were neighbors two doors down from each other on Medford Court E. We used to race about a quarter mile (it seemed like 2-3 miles at the time as kids). I would go slow and steady and Jimbo would sprint and then walk. It was really intimidating to race him. He always won. In this case, the hare beat the turtle. He was always nice to me and had this incredible smile!

I first met Jim in 8th grade, and knew him all through high school, but didn't become a close friend until the fall of 1969 when he hung out at my apartment in Arlington, and we both promptly flunked out of UTA.

We wrote and performed music together throughout the 1970s and had a wild insane ride through the Texas and Hollywood music scenes. We played for (and sometimes with) many legendary artists in those days, and had a nice time together for a couple of weeks in October of 2010, when I visited, recorded, and performed with him in L.A.

I miss singing and talking with him, and always will. He will always live in Beth's and my heart.

You know we love you Jim!
