Joe Curtis Foster, loving and beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, died on Saturday, April 23, 2016, after a courageous battle against cancer. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 5819 W. Pleasant Ridge Road, Arlington 76016. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UT Southwestern Medical Center Cancer Research. Born in Fort Worth on April 18, 1951, Joe was the son of Hugh Curtis Foster and Maxine VanNatta Foster. He graduated from Paschal High School in Fort Worth and attended UT Arlington where he received a BA in History. He eventually earned his CPA license and then a Master of Science in Taxation from UT Arlington. Joe worked in public accounting for over 35 years and was a partner at PSK LLC before his retirement in 2014. Joe met his wife, Cindy, in 1972 while they both attended UT Arlington, and they married in July, 1977. Joe was an avid golfer who loved watching his son play baseball, traveling with his daughter and son-in-law, and being with his grandkids. Survivors: Joe is survived by his wife of 38 years, Cindy; their children, daughter, Allison and husband, Michael Haliburton, son, Jordan and wife, Catie; beautiful grandchildren who called him "Poppi," Reid, Vivienne, Grace and Max; as well as his brother, John Foster in Cleveland, Ohio, wife, Sandy, and their children, Natalie, Matthew, Zane and his wife, Claudie.
