Written by a niece on FB:

It’s hard to wrap my mind around the impactful loss of losing two Pettigrew souls in a span of 24hours. It’s the last showing of their timeless love. They were always together, even in death. It’s really beautiful when you think about it.

Michael and Crickett Pettigrew - Lately I’ve been more aware of the spans of their influence across Ft Worth, I’ve met people from all around that knew them, and recognized our last name. They were known as kind artists, which is what they really embodied.

I’m thankful for the influence they have on my children and me. I’m thankful we were able to push away the chatter to see and know their giving, loving spirits. Over the last couple of days we’ve talked about the love for their family, especially their kids and grandchildren- it was so so sweet. Their bond is truly beautiful when you sit back and watch. I really believe that Nanna and Daddo were their favorite names.

Uncle Mike and Aunt Crickett, thank you for all the love you showed me over the years, I am grateful to have been part of your family.

Kate, John, Kirk, Patrick, Dru, and Trinity- my heart is with you.

I love you all.

What a lovely tribute to Crickett. I didn't know her but pray that she Rests In Peace. God bless you, Cricket.

Cricket and I were pretty good friends in high school. We were both loners and different. I wished we'd have kept up. I never outgrew that and I'm guessing she didn't either!!  My sincere condolences to her family. God bless you all.

I remember Crickett from Westcliff, what a very pleasant person. I'm sorry for her passing and send blessings to all her family.

Crickett was in my class at Westbrook Elementary School and we were assigned to do a report together on vegetables. She turned a topic that seemed very dull into an entertaining skit complete with props, costumes and jokes. That was just a dress rehearsal for what seemed to be a lifetime of participation in theatre for her.
She was a very kind and imaginative person and I am lucky that I got to know her and be inspired by her dedication and creativity!
Thinking of Crickett and her husband. May their memories be a blessing.
