Another friend lost too soon.  I remember Bill as a jolly guy who always had a shy smile on his face.  He and I and Jimmy Orr played football together and only Jimmy had real football talent.  Bill and I got issued the goofy odd shaped helmets that the B team wore and the coaches had to write our names on adhesive tape on the front of the helmets so they could acutally remember what to call us instead of "Hey you!"   Rest in peace, Bill, maybe we will be better football players in the next world.  If not, save me a spot on the bench.

I remember Bill as a quiet, shy guy and an extremely nice person. I didn't have contact with Bill after high school  but I do recall once when I was in Danny Cole's Vet clinic he told me what a great friend he was. Rest peacefully Bill.

At least Bill is now reunited with his longtime friend Danny Cole.

Although I remember Bill, I'm sorry to say our paths didn't cross much, unless it was during the chaos in the hallways between classes.

I pray for comfort for Bill's family members. And I also want to express my appreciation for the comments from fellow class members. We all affirm the reality that this life is not all there is and that there is hope for us in the next life for reunions, joy, happiness, peace, and love.

May we all live the rest of our lives in these foothills of Heaven and then look forward to one day being more alive than ever with our Lord, surrounded by loved ones, and in that place we will never have to say "goodbye" again!
